WHO is recommended for infants under 2 years globally. CDC is used by US pediatricians. Select a country above to auto-fill the best standard.

If born before 37 weeks, corrected age adjusts all percentiles until 24–36 months.

Growth in the toddler years

Growth slows and steadies considerably after infancy. Where a baby might gain several pounds in a few months during year one, a toddler's weight and height gain becomes more gradual and predictable — typically 4–5 lbs and 2–3 inches per year between ages 2 and 5.

Most pediatricians switch from WHO to CDC growth charts around age 2, since WHO data ends at 5 years for length/height-for-age and CDC data extends through 20 years, making the transition smoother for long-term tracking.

What to watch for

A toddler's percentile should stay roughly consistent across annual well-child visits. A significant, sustained jump — crossing two or more major percentile lines in either direction — is the kind of pattern pediatricians typically want to evaluate further.
